Code view is the primary workspace: a chat composer with file, folder, image, URL, and clipboard attachments, plus a dock of native PTY terminals. Tool calls collapse into expandable "Thinking" blocks so you see the final answer and can inspect every step.

Todo view
A Kanban board that actually runs the tasks.
Switch to Todo view for four priority lanes — Critical, High, Mid, Low. Drag and drop tasks, assign a model per lane, and let the runner execute from Critical to Low. Tasks use the current chat session and tool permissions, so context carries over.

Bring the agents you already use in the terminal.
First-run onboarding installs Codex, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Kimi Code, and OpenCode in the background — no shell window required. Use them as standalone terminal agents, or let cloud chat models call file and shell tools through the same workspace.
Memory
It remembers the details so you do not have to repeat them.
Black One extracts <memory> blocks from model responses, categorizes them, and injects the most relevant entries back into future prompts. Memory is stored as JSONL and mirrored to Markdown, so you can always see — and edit — what the app knows.
Local-first
Your workspace lives on your machine.
Black One is a native Tauri app. Conversations are persisted in SQLite, API keys are guarded by the OS credential store, and file/shell access is bounded to the folders you attach.

Quick Chat
A thought should not need a full window.
Press the global shortcut to open a small floating chat, pick a model, attach context, and send. The conversation moves into the main workspace when you are ready for more room.
Explain why this build works in development but opens blank when packaged.
Release notes / security review
A few scanners say "suspicious." The evidence says "false positive."
The Windows installer is unsigned and uses Tauri's NSIS wrapper, which can download WebView2 and launch setup processes. That is normal installer behavior, not hidden app behavior.
