BlackFrame Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 20, 2026

BlackFrame is a minimal browser extension for capturing full-page or visible-area screenshots of web pages.

Data we collect

BlackFrame does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not use analytics, trackers, advertising identifiers, or telemetry of any kind.

Local processing

When you capture a screenshot, BlackFrame scrolls and stitches the page locally in your browser. The resulting image is saved to your device through the browser's download manager. No image data is uploaded, shared, or stored outside your device.

Nothing you capture or pick is uploaded to a server, shared with third parties, or accessible to the developer.

Browser permissions

BlackFrame requests the following permissions only so it can perform its core function. Each permission is used locally and never to extract data without your action:

  • activeTabto access the current tab when you capture a screenshot.
  • scriptingto inject the scroll-stitch capture script into the page you are viewing.
  • downloadsto save the captured image to your local Downloads folder.
  • host permissionsto run the capture script on any website you choose to use it on.

Third parties

BlackFrame does not send data to external servers, analytics services, or any third party. All functionality runs inside your browser.

Your choices

You can remove or disable BlackFrame at any time from your browser's extension manager. Uninstalling the extension deletes all locally stored data, including any history or settings it has saved.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated effective date will be posted here. BecauseBlackFrame does not collect personal data, changes will only clarify how the extension operates or how locally stored data is handled.
